On the way back to your hotel in Waikiki Honolulu Hawaii from your PADI Discover SCUBA diving. We will give you the PADI study materials, PADI DVD to watch. You need to watch the PADI DVD which takes approximately 3 1/2 hours. Also the frst three knowledge reviews in the book. This is all self-study and will take you approximately 4 hours and is fairly straightforward. It is not rocket science. Alex's Aquatic Adventures, will be more than happy to lend you a 7 inch DVD player if you do not have a means to watch this PADI DVD.
DAY ONE: 1 PM to 4 PM (depending on you)
The next day you choose for your PADI open water certification course. We will collect you from your hotel in Honolulu, Waikiki, Hawaii, at approximately 1 PM. It is now time to complete the confined water session. This is where we go to a shallow body of water so you can practice all of the skills that you have seen on the PADI DVD. You're PADI instructor will give you a verbal description of each skill he will then demonstrate the skill for you now it's your turn. PADI open water certification is very easy just copy your instructor.
DAY TWO: 10:45 AM to 6:30 PM (depending on you)
We will collect you from your hotel in Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii, at approximately 10:45 AM. We need to complete three SCUBA dives during this time. We can only count one SCUBA dive from the PADI Discover SCUBA diving course. We will do one 45 minute dive and include some of the skills that you completed in the confined water session. The boat will then move to a second dive site where we need to do two SCUBA dives the way this works instead of one 45 minute dive we will do two 20 minute dives this way we get enough SCUBA dives for you to complete your PADI open water certification course. During these two SCUBA dives we will complete the rest of the skills that are necessary for you to complete your PADI open water certification course.
Once we are finish with the boat at approximately 3 PM. It is now time for exams and lectures. We will make our way to Coffee Bean or Star Barks, your PADI instructor will go over the knowledge reviews with you. It is now time to teach you how to use the recreational dive planner so you can plan SAFE SCUBA dives this process usually takes 1.5 hours sometimes 2 hours. Last but not least a 50 question multiple-choice test. Which once again this is not rocket science we give this to 10-year-olds. Once you complete the test you are now a PADI open water diver this certification is valid for life.
The very last thing for you to do is fill out your logbook your certification card paperwork. we will then drive you back to your hotel in Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii, so you can celebrate your achieve ment of becoming PADI open water diver.
The cost of the PADI open water certification is $395, the two tank PADI Discover SCUBA diving course was a $110 which will be de-ducted from the $395, Giving you a balance of $285. Unfortunately we are not able to do this deduction from the 2 DAY OPEN WATER certification, this is simply because we go out on the boat twice. We can however do the two-day Deluxe open water course which is $440, the $110 you paid for the Discover SCUBA diving, will be deducted from the course Leaving you with a remaining balance of $330.
