TURTLE CANYONS

Turtle Canyons, is a very popular dive with Discover SCUBA divers. As we can pretty much guarantee you seeing turtle's, these majestic endangered creatures on a daily basis. It is located approximately half a mile offshore just in front of Waikiki. This makes for a very short boat ride which divers seem to enjoy. It consists of several finger reefs that go out to a depth of approximately 36 feet which is approximately 11 m for everybody else that is not American. The afternoon charter will go to this dive site 98% of the time. The reason is, we know if we show you turtles you are VERY HAPPY. We can guarantee you see turtles 99% of the time at this dive site. The only time we will not go to this dive site for the first dive in the afternoon, is when there is a large swell which makes SCUBA-diving here DANGEROUS as the dive site becomes like a washing machine.

Here at Alex's Aquatic Adventures, our biggest concern is always YOUR SAFETY.

We will still come to Turtle Canyons even if we know the visibility is very poor (at maybe 6 to 8 feet). This is about the worst visibility we will actually dive in, just so we can show you turtles. The backup dive site usually has much better visibility than Turtle Canyons, but unfortunately turtle sightings are not as consistent. So we still have a very good chance of finding you turtles on a daily basis even if we do not go to Turtle Canyons and this happens very rarely.
