SCUBA DIVING SOUTH OAHU

MALAMA BAY

This is the bay where the majority of SCUBA diving in Hawaii, is done. The main reason is because three of the wrecks are in this bay. They are YO257, San Pedro, and Sea Tiger. I truly believe that the wreck diving in Honolulu, Hawaii, is the best diving that you can explore in HAWAII. During the surface interval you have an amazing view of Diamond Head as a back drop and we occasionally see pods of dolphin swimming by.

Due to the variety of wrecks in this bay, it is a great opportunity for the more experienced divers to get their PADI Wreck Diving Specialty certification. This bay is relatively calm and diver friendly all year long, apart from the days when we get strong south winds (this means no diving on those days) the ocean is like a washing machine on south wind days and SAFETY becomes an issue.

In this bay is where we do most of our PADI DISCOVER SCUBA DIVING COURSES. A favorite thing for DISCOVER SCUBA Divers to see are the GREEN SEA TURTLES which are prevalent at Turtle Canyons. Don't forget!!!...they are Federally protected ENDANGERED species and it is HIGHLY ILLEGAL to touch or harass them in any way.

Alex's Aquatic Adventures has made it very easy for you to SCUBA dive in Hawaii. All dives are led by PADI professionals (Professional Association of Diving Instructors). Our promise is to get you to where you want to go diving; weather permitting of course. We have access to great boats, fun crews and loads of interesting sites. Join us for a day…or two…or even three…exploring and discovering all the great things our island of Oahu has to offer. No need to carry SCUBA tanks or set up your diving equipment (unless it is personal equipment this is due to liability issues) we do all the work. Save your energy for the dive!
