PADI RESCUE DIVER COURSE
PADI Rescue Diver course is $460.
Alex's Aquatic Adventures believes that this is the best SCUBA diving Certification that PADI offers. Don't take my word for it, ask any PADI SCUBA instructor which certification they think is best and they like teaching. I guarantee they will say the PADI rescue Certification. Some divers feel the course is more than they need or feel intimidated by it. Let me assure you this is all about technique and how water is the equalizer. Say that you are only 100 pounds and a SCUBA diver in distress is over 250 pounds; you will be surprised how easily you can control the distressed SCUBA diver.
Believe it or not, there is no SCUBA diving required for completion of the PADI Rescue Certification. The only underwater requirement is to search for a missing SCUBA diver and bring an unconscious SCUBA diver to the surface. Alex's Aquatic Adventures we do include four SCUBA dives over two days making this certification course a total of three days. If time is a major concern we can complete this in two days. Day one and day two would be put together, this makes for a really early start of approximately 7 AM and you will not be finished until 3:30 PM.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE: We will meet you at your hotel in Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii and give you the PADI study materials and DVD to watch which is approximately 3 hours in length. If you do not have a laptop to view the DVD we will loan you a 7" DVD personal player. (FREE OF CHARGE) You will need to watch this DVD prior to Day One. There are several Knowledge Reviews and a 50 question multiple choice test. Which must be completed by the end of the Rescue Diver Certification. We look for to teaching you the techniques of the PADI Rescue Diver Certification.
DAY ONE: We will collect you from your hotel in Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii at approximately 1:00pm and proceed to confined water where we will demonstrate then allow you to practice techniques used to control panicked divers, tired divers and so on. You will be back at your hotel at approximately 4 PM.
DAY TWO: We will collect you from your hotel in Waikiki, Hawaii, at approximately 7:00am. Proceed to the dive boat where we will complete two SCUBA dives. One wreck dive and one shallow reef dive. The wreck dive is just for fun with no rescue skills required. However on the second SCUBA dive we will perform some of the skills that you learned in confined water and execute these skills in an open water environment.
DAY THREE: We will collect you from your hotel in Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii, at approximately 7:00am and proceed to the dive boat where we will complete one more deep wreck dive which again is a fun dive with no skill completion requirements. Isn't this why we started diving in the first place? It's supposed to be fun! We then make our way to a shallow dive site where we can perform the skills necessary to complete your PADI Rescue Diver Certification.et the pre-requisite for this course. which are you have completion 20 logged dives yes you can count these four. You are allso certified in first aid and CPR, hold a advanced certification with which ever agency.
Now that the fun is over we still have to complete the book work. This we will do at Coffee Bean or Starbucks. We will discuss your Knowledge Reviews then I will administer a 50 question closed book, multiple choice test. Course completed! Congratulations!
