YO-257 - Aloha, here is todays dive report. Doug had such a good time yesterday that he booked with us again to dive the YO & San Pedro,2 wrecks that are about 1/2 mile offshore from Waikiki Beach. Once the boat was hooked up to the mooring line Doug and myself made our way down the line before the other dive groups got ready on the boat. Once on the stern we saw 4 turtle just hanging out on the deck of the YO in about 75' of water. The vis. was about 80' with very little current. At one point Doug entered the YO so I took a few photos of him inside the wreck. We made it to the Bow and stated back to the stern Doug still had 1500 psi left so we headed east to the San Pedro which is about 200' from the YO. As we crossed over I notice a bed of 50 or so Knobby Star fish on the sea floor. By the time we checked out the San Pedro doug was down to 1000 psi so it was back to the line to do our safety stop. Dive Time:26 min. Depth 109'
Kewalo Pipe & Reef - Our 2nd dive spot was at the pipe, even though we were here yesterday there are so different ways to dive this spot. Once we made our way down we headed east toward the Horseshoe reef,Vis was about 50' With no current. Right from the beginning we could hear the Humpback whale singing underwater. As we past a few reefs there we some nice Antler coral specimens along the way. As we made our way along the reef we saw a white mouth ell under some rocks as we approached it swam to another rock pile and out of no where a Frog Fish appeared, guess the ell scared the frog fish from its hiding spot. we made our way back to the boat and encountered a few turtles, Also I saw an octopus hiding in its hole. When we got back to the pipe I spotted another Frog Fish,Doug sure enjoyed his dives for the last few days to bad he has to go back to the cold he is from Vancouver ,Canada. Dive Time:48 min. Depth:55'
