PADI DEEP DIVER SPECIALTY

The PADI Deep Diver Specialty Certification, will teach you how to dive safely to a maximum depth of 130 feet. This is the maximum depth for recreational SCUBA diving. There are countries that will not let you dive beyond 60 feet unless you have the ADVANCED OPEN WATER Certification. They will not let you dive beyond 100 feet unless you have the PADI Deep Diver Certification. The reason things are a little different in Hawaii, is all our SCUBA dives are guided by PADI professionals. We don't just pair you up and kick you off the boat.

Alex's Aquatic Adventures, is offering the Deep Diver Specialty course for only $250.This includes four SCUBA divers over two days. During this course we will teach you the techniques you require to dive safely beyond 100 feet and how to breathe correctly to maximize your breathing time and lengthen your bottom time. Results will vary on an individual basis. We will get you relaxed with deep diving which is a factor to air consumption. During the Deep Diver Specialty Certification we will show you how important it is to monitor your air. This way you will not run out and you'll have plenty of air for a SAFE ascent including the safety stop.But remember we are only teaching you "no decompression" This is not a course where we show you decompression procedures. We will discuss different types of safety stops, nitrogen narcosis and what to do if it happens. Last but not least we will discuss equipment considerations for making deep SCUBA dives SAFER; including how often your SCUBA equipment should be maintained and serviced, and things you should look for before going on deep dives.

PLEASE NOTE: When enrolling for Deep Diving Certification, you MUST hold an ADVANCED OPEN WATER Certification from any agency. Alex's Aquatic Adventures, will assumed that you have all the required prerequisites. If you do not have the ADVANCED OPEN WATER Certification, Alex's Aquatic Adventures will be very happy to help you with this.

TIME COMMITMENT: 7 AM to 1130 AM we need two mornings

Alex's Aquatic Adventures will collect you from your hotel in Waikiki, Hawaii at approximately 7:00am and proceed to the scuba diving boat. We will do one deep SCUBA dive on a wrecks. Depending on which wreck we go to that day. The depth could range between 108 feet to the125 feet. The second dive will be beyond 60 feet so we can also count this as a deep dive. Alex's Aquatic Adventures, can offer you the PADI NITROX Certification (a.k.a. PADI Enriched Air Certification) at the same time as the PADI Deep Diver Specialty Certification for an additional cost of $150 this includes books and certification card and DVD .
