MEET THE STAFF
ALEX MASON -- PADI MASTER INSTRUCTOR
Hello! I am Alex Mason. I was introduced to SCUBA Diving in 1997 while on holiday in Fethiye, Turkey. Even before surfacing from my first dive, I knew I found my calling; I was going to be a SCUBA diving instructor.
After completing my PADI Open Water Course in Turkey, I returned to England to earn my PADI Master SCUBA Diver certification. Once in Oahu, Hawaii, I became a certified SCUBA diving PADI professional. I traveled the world over for eight months, working as a PADI Dive master. I returned to Oahu to become a PADI IDC Staff Instructor.
This rating qualifies me to teach on-staff the PADI Instructor Development Courses.
In October 2001, I achieved my PADI Master Instructor rating; the highest SCUBA diving instructor rating offered by PADI. This enables me to teach all PADI certification levels through to Assistant Instructor, including Emergency First Aid and 18 other specialty ratings. My current ratings are:
- PADI Master Instructor #610498 - Instructor for 18 specialty diving ratings
- SDI Instructor #4026 - Instructor for 12 specialty diving ratings (not current)
- DAN Oxygen First Aid Instructor #8735
- TDI Nitrox Gas Blender #4026
- TDI Drager-Dolphin Semi-closed Rebreather Instructor #4026
To round out my education, I obtained my captain's license in January of 2004.
With an impeccable safety record, I have certified SCUBA divers from Discover SCUBA Divers rating through PADI Assistant Instructors at an average rate of 3 to 6 student divers per week. I have received several Certificates of Excellence from PADI, based on my SCUBA divers and their written letters of commendation. I only employ insured, PADI Certified Instructors and Dive Masters to train my SCUBA divers and take then exploring the beautiful reefs and wrecks of Oahu, Hawaii.
If you like what you experienced with us, please write a review and recommend us to others.
CHERYL TAMASHIRO - DIVEMASTER

My name is Cheryl Tamashiro. otherwise known as Alex's better half. I was introduced to SCUBA diving while vacationing in Belize about 15 years ago--it was a most amazing adventure and I vowed to get my certification. But of course, the opportunity did not present itself until 6 years ago and as fate would have it, I was referred to AAA Diving for my PADI Open Water Course. I received my Open Water Certification as well as dinner with Alex--I guess you could say the rest is history. I relocated to Hawaii in 2006 and became a PADI Dive master in 2007. When on land, I spend most of my time as a Pilates instructor and Physical Therapist, so SCUBA diving provides a wonderful release in an incredible, magical undersea world.
