The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your SCUBA skills. So you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI instructor. This course builds on what you've learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities like navigation and deep diving, and new ways to have fun SCUBA diving.

This certification course consists of five dives. There are two core dives which must be completed these are a deep dive (deep dive are dives beyond 60 feet) navigation dive, during the navigation dive you have to swim a box with a compass. Your instructor will show you how to use a compass to make this easy. You then have three elected dives from the specialty list. The dives I usually pick for you are Wreck Diver, Boat Diver and Peak Performance Buoyancy. This would be my suggestion for you having the best time during the course, but we can pick different specialties if you wish.

DAY ONE: We collect you from your hotel in Waikiki , Hawaii at approximately 7:00am and drive directly to the SCUBA diving boat where we will perform one deep wreck dive followed by a shallow reef dive. This gets the mandatory deep SCUBA dive done and one of the elective SCUBA dives of your choice. Morning charter returns at approximately 11:00am.The rest of the day is your own.

If you have not been SCUBA diving for a while and wish to start with shallow dives first, NO worries. Your pick-up time would change to 11:00am. Then we will drive directly to the SCUBA diving boat where we will perform two shallow SCUBA dives which will be approximately 40 feet deep. Then back to your hotel in Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii, at approximately 3:30pm.The rest of the day is your own.

DAY TWO: We collect you from your Hotel in Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii, at approximately 7:00am and drive directly to the SCUBA diving boat where we will do a Deep Wreck Dive. This would either be your first or second deep SCUBA dive depending on your Day One selection. The SCUBA diving boat will then go to a shallow SCUBA diving site where we will complete the underwater navigation portion of your course requirement. I will show you how to use a compass during the surface interval. There is also a chapter in the PADI adventures book on Navigation. You will be back at your hotel in Waikiki or Honolulu, Hawaii at approximately 11 AM. The rest of the day is your own.

DAY THREE: We collect you from your Hotel in Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii, at approximately 7:00am and drive directly to the SCUBA diving boat where we will do a Deep Wreck Dive. This would either be your second or third deep dive, depending on your Day One selection. This dive will complete the required dive needed to complete the PADI Advanced Open Water course. Congratulations! Now your last dive of the day is for fun…there are no skills or requirements we need to fulfill. So relax and enjoy your SCUBA diving in the magnificent clear waters of Oahu, Hawaii.

We will fill out your logbook and temporary certification card. You will be back at your hotel in Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii, at approximately 11:00am. The rest of the day is your own to celebrate your achievement of becoming a PADI Advanced Open Water diver.
